University of Minnesota - Alpine Ski Team

In existence for a little over thirty years, the University of Minnesota Alpine Ski Team is a competitive sports club that competes against other various colleges and universities as part of the MCSA, or Midwest Collegiate Snowsport Association.

The MCSA is itself part of the USCSA, or United States Collegiate Ski Association -  the organizational and governing body for collegiate snowsports in the United States that oversees over 178 colleges and universities, representing both varsity and club sport teams.

Over thirty years of tradition, numerous skiers have been part of our organization, guided principally by our founding mission statement that "Not only will the Alpine Ski Team at the University of Minnesota be an organization for students to develop and improve their skiing and race abilities; but more importantly, a place to meet new friends and make life-long memories."

Last season the University of Minnesota's men's and women's alpine teams both placed 10th overall at the 2007 USCSA Nationals in Winter Park, CO.  In the coming seasons we look to both improve our performance and continue our tradition of excellence here at the University of Minnesota.
